Engine start circuitThe components of the engine start circuit are the key start switch, the fire suppression control loop receptacle (foam type), the battery electrical isolator loop plug, the Power Train Electronic Control Module (Power Train ECM), the Engine Electronic Control Module (Engine ECM), the start relay magnetic switch, the main power relay magnetic switch, the electric starting motor solenoid, the electric starting motor and the STIC steering transmission control

Left side view of engine (8) Engine ECMWith the battery disconnect switch in the ON position, 24 V power is supplied from the batteries to circuit breaker 1, circuit breaker 6, and circuit breaker 14. Circuit breaker 1 supplies power to Engine ECM (8) and key start switch (1). With key start switch (1) in ON position (3), 24 V power is supplied from the batteries to circuit breaker 1. Circuit breaker 1 supplies power to main power relay magnetic switch (9). Circuit breaker 6 supplies power to Engine ECM (8) and circuit breaker 14 supplies power to Power Train ECM (7) .

(13) Transmission control (STIC steering) (14) Transmission direction control switchWhen the key start switch is in START position (4), Power Train ECM (7) supplies 24 volt power to start relay magnetic switch (10). Power then returns to Power Train ECM (7) to ground. Power Train ECM (7) will energize start relay magnetic switch (10) when transmission direction control switch (14) is in the NEUTRAL position. When start relay magnetic switch (10) is energized, 24 volt power is supplied to electric starting motor solenoid (11) and to electric starting motor (12).
