(94U, 95U) Skidders and D5H (2SD) Custom Skidders Equipped With 518 (6KC, 5YD) WinchesDescription of Change: A new, stronger drum assembly is used on the above skidders equipped with 518 Winches. The new drum assembly is made of cast steel that is thicker and has a larger drum diameter [254 mm (10.0") versus 190 mm (7.5")]. The former drum assembly was made of ductile iron. The new drum assembly can wrap these lengths of cable: ...5/8" diameter-625 cm (246 feet)....3/4" diameter-440 cm (173 feet)....7/8" diameter-318 cm (125 feet). (The former drum assembly was not capable of utilizing 7/8" cable.)
Adaptable To: The new 6Y1419 Drum Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 9G7050 Drum Assembly in the 9G7058 and 9W5348 Clutch and Gear Groups. The new drum assembly also requires one of each of the following: 0L1351 Bolt, 5M2894 Hard Washer, and 6Y1417 Clamp. The new drum assembly is in effect with winch serial numbers 5YD176 (used on D5H Custom Skidders) and 6KC1607 (used on 518 Skidders 94U1892-Up and 95U2050-Up).
