Position the motor so that the distribution channels face upward.
Remove five bolts (13) .
Remove cover (12) .

Use the appropriate snap ring pliers and install snap ring (18) .

Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of bolts (13). Install bolts (13). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 87 N m (64 lb ft).

Typical example
Select a cylinder to use for a reference. Align the flats on the end of the drive pin with the distribution channel (X) for the reference. Place a finger over the distribution channel for the cylinder to the left of the reference. Rotate the shaft clockwise for one quarter turn. The motor is in-phase if suction is felt with the finger. The motor is out-of-phase if compression is felt with the finger. Return the shaft to the starting position. The motor must be in-phase. Rotate the shaft by 180 degrees in order to change an out-of-phase motor to an in-phase motor. Mark the reference.

Install wear plate (3) on dowels.
Install bushing (4) .

Install rotary disc (5). Make sure that the three holes in the rotary disc are directly above the hole with suction.Note: If the three holes are not over the hole with suction, the motor will be out-of-phase. An out-of-phase motor will run in reverse.
