Rear of Machine
(1) Brake dump valveBrake dump valve (1) is located at the rear of the machine. The brake dump valve is accessed from under the machine.Brake dump valve (1) rapidly releases pressure from the brake system. This valve is secondary to the interlock valve for parking brake control. The brake dump valve decreases the response time of the brake application. The brake dump valve can prevent brake release when the machine ECM determines required parameters for brake release have not been met. The valve is controlled by the machine ECM.

Right Side of Machine
(2) Manual brake release pump
(3) Needle valveManual brake release pump (2) is located on the right side of the machine. The door on the right side of the machine provides access to this component.Needle valve (3) and a second needle valve (not shown) are used with manual brake release pump (2) to release the parking brake manually. Both needle valves must be open fully (turned counterclockwise) during machine operation. The needle valves must be fully closed (turned clockwise) in order to use the manual brake release pump to release the parking brake manually.
