The chart below lists the item numbers and the new part numbers needed for the installation of the larger air cleaner. Installation Procedure
Installation of the new air cleaner requires a change of the mounting hardware. Other surrounding hardware must also be changed to provide adequate clearance for the larger air cleaner. The same callout numbers are used for both the disassembly and assembly procedures. The part numbers change however, to reflect the old versus the new parts needed.
Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system on this machine after the engine and the pump has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system. To prevent possible injury refer to the section, RELEASE OF PRESSURE located in the (Hydraulic System Testing And Adjusting Module) of the service manual.
Disassembly And Removal Of Existing Parts
Illustration 11. Open swing frame side cover (2) located on the left rear of machine.* Remove six bolts (7) and washers (6) and lift off swing frame upper cover (5).* Remove six bolts (3) and washers (4) and lift off engine hood (1).

Disconnect 856892 Tube (15) from ether injection nozzle (16) and tube (17). 856892 Tube (15) will NOT be reused in this procedure.* Remove ether injection nozzle (16) from 992061 Pipe (22) (refer to Illustration 3).3. Remove four bolts (13) and washers (12) fastening clamps (9), (11) and 856892 Tube (15) to 991430 Cover (8).* Remove ether injection cylinder (10) with clamps (9) and (11) attached.* Remove connector (14) with sending unit and wire harness. When removing ether injection cylinder, tube assemblies and wire harness, be careful not to kink the tube assemblies or cut the wire harness. These components will be reused later in this procedure.
