Tighten the nut (1) just to contact the plate surface of rear frame.
Torque to 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).

3 2 8T-4778 Locknut Torque to 125 10 N m (92 7 lb ft).
4 As required, use the following shim only when the plate thickness is 21.0 to 21.5 mm (0.83 to 0.85 inch):
2 552-7587 Shim Thickness is 1.0 mm (0.04 inch).
5 2 8T-4173 Bolt Before assembly, Apply Never-Seez Marine Grade Anti-Seize to the threads.
