HARNESS ASSEMBLY-BRAKE MODULE 1361870 - Caterpillar

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines and on all hoses. Plug all lines and all hoses. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Remove four bolts (1) and the washers in order to remove plate (2) .

Remove four bolts (3) and the washers in order to remove plate (4) .

Disconnect four hydraulic lines (5) .

Remove fitting (6) and three elbow assemblies (7) .

Drive dowel (9) from pin (10) in order to remove the pin. Repeat for the opposite side of quick coupler (8) .
Remove the quick coupler cylinder.Installation Procedure

Install the quick coupler cylinder.

Note: Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease to the pins and dowels before assembly.
Insert pin (10) and drive dowel (9) into the pin bore.
Repeat Step 2 for the opposite side of quick coupler (8) .

Install fitting (6) and three elbow assemblies (7) .

Connect four hydraulic lines (5) .

Position plate (4) and install four bolts (3) and the washers.

Position plate (2) and install four bolts (1) and the washers., End By:
Install the bucket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket - Install" for the proper procedure.
Check the hydraulic oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance ManualSEBU7265, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the proper procedure.
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the proper procedure.
