Pump Drive Vent Installation
The chart and Illustration 1 shows the parts to modify 235C Excavators that have the breather mounted on the left side of the pump drive case.
Illustration 1. Location of parts to route pump drive vent hose to crankcase. Refer to chart for parts identification. 1. Remove 9G5127 Breather Assembly from the pump drive case and install one 8C6867 Connector (3), 6V9849 Elbow (2), and two 4J5477 O-ring Seals (4) in its place.2. Install one end of 8X6791 Hose Assembly (5) to the 6V9849 Elbow.3. Remove the 9Y0034 Bracket and 9Y0037 Fuel Filter Group from the side of the block and install a new 6I2903 Bracket (5) with the original hardware. Remove the fuel filter from the former bracket and install on the new 6I2903 Bracket using the original hardware. The existing 9Y0034 Bracket may be modified and reused in place of the new bracket. Remove the 9Y0034 Bracket and drill a 14.5 mm (.570 in) diameter hole as shown in Illustration 2. Tap the hole to 3/8-18 NPTF thread.

Install one 8C6867 Connector (3), 6B9849 Elbow (2) and two 4J5477 O-ring Seals (4) in the threaded hole of the fuel filter bracket.5. Connect the other end of 8X6791 Hose Assembly (5) to the elbow at the fuel filter bracket.6. Use 7K1181 Strap to tie the 8X6791 Hose Assembly to the 5S6074 Strap, lower inside air cleaner.
