U-83 A-61 AU-56 O-57.2 4192 PS4334 This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4334" as Part Number, "7755" as Group Number, and "96" as Description Code. Although this Program can be administered either before or after a failure it is recommended that it be implemented at the same time as the the Service Letter dated April 12, 1989 - PI3398. Problem
Dirt and water can enter the joint around the pin and bogie and shorten the service life of the pin and bearings. The dirt can sometimes block grease passages in the pin and lead to seizure of the pin and damage to the bogies.

Action Required
1. Deflate the air springs. 2. Remove the 3W5784 Retainers and 3W5783 Pins. Clean the grease passages. 3. Inspect for damage and replace parts as necessary. 4. Press the bearings into the bogie 8 mm (.3") on both sides to provide a recess for the seals. Install the seals. See the Illustration. It may be necessary to rework the pin bores in the major bogies. 5. Assemble the remaining components and lubricate the pins with 5P0960 Molybdenum Grease.
