Hold all 3585002/">358-5002 Implement Pumps, ONLY on machines with less than 5.0 machine service hours, for a Parts Return Request (PRR). A Parts Return Request (PRR) will be issued to you through the Send-It-Back process after the claim is submitted. Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.

The 3585002/">358-5002 Implement Pump may be defective on the products listed below. Hi Flow pumps need to be inspected. Premature wear on the piston assembly retainer plate has been observed on certain pumps. Failure to the piston assembly may result in contingent damage to hydraulic components in the implement circuit. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 25Nov2014 when scheduling this service.

Rework Procedure
Inspection of the Pump Serial Number:
The Pump serial number can be viewed from the left hand side of the machine. Refer to Image1.1.1.
Note: On 236D machines with open canopy, the pump serial number cannot be seen with the lift arms in the lower position. The lift arms will need to be raised and supported with the safety brace. Refer to maintenance section of SEBU9084, "Loader Lift Arm Brace Operation", refer to section titled "Self-Raising Lift Arm Brace".

1. Locate the access opening on the frame. Refer to Image1.2.1.

2. Use flash light in order to locate the serial number tag on the charge pump. Refer to Image1.3.1.
