Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause serious injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent possible injury, perform the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the hydraulic system.
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting" before beginning the test.

(10) The end for accumulator charging with dry nitrogen (11) Cap (12) AccumulatorUse the 7S-5437 Nitrogen Charging Group in order to test the pressure compensator valve.Start the engine. Operate the hydraulic system in order to warm up the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic oil tank. The solenoid switch should be in the LOCKDOWN position. Fully retract the rod in the load cylinder and turn off the engine.
Keep the engine off for a minimum of 5 minutes. After a minimum of 5 minutes, the hydraulic oil pressure in accumulator (12) should be relieved.
Install the 8T-0859 Pressure Gauge in the 7S-5437 Nitrogen Charging Group. Close valve (1) .
Remove the cap (11) from the valve assembly on the top of accumulator (12). Install chuck (8) on this valve assembly. The pressure gauge must read 3100 kPa (450 psi) at a temperature of 21°C (70°F). If the gauge does not read 3100 kPa (450 psi) then the accumulator must be charged. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Accumulator (Cushion-Hitch) - Test and Charge".
Start the engine. Operate the engine at low idle.
Observe pressure gauge (2). The reading on pressure gauge (2) should rise to 16000 345 kPa (2320 50 psi). 16000 345 kPa (2320 50 psi) is the specified pressure setting of the pressure compensator valve.

(13) Cap
Stop the engine. If the pressure setting of the pressure compensator valve is not 16000 345 kPa (2320 50 psi), remove cap (13) that covers the adjustment screw for the pressure compensator valve.
Loosen the locknut for the adjustment screw of the pressure compensator valve. Turn this adjustment screw in a clockwise direction in order to increase the pressure setting of the pressure compensator valve. Turn this adjustment screw in a counterclockwise direction in order to decrease the pressure setting of the pressure compensator valve.
After you adjust the pressure compensator valve, tighten the locknut for the adjustment screw. Replace cap (13) .
Repeat Steps (4) and (5) .
Remove the 7S-5437 Nitrogen Charging Group from push-pull accumulator (12) .
