HARNESS AS 1450515 - Caterpillar

ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
1. If there is a failure of the 8T-8919 or 8T-4835 Bolts an inspection of the Motor Grader needs to be performed. (See Image 1)
2. Remove the cover of the drive shaft (A) (See Image 2)
3. Inspect the machine to determine if the 6G-0417 Pin Cover is sitting on the 2G-4011 Collar or the 124-3240 Top Pin. (See Image 3)
4. If the pin cover is sitting on the pin and not touching the collar, no further action is necessary.
5. If the pin cover is sitting on the collar, proceed with replacing the collar.
6. Disassemble the drive shaft (B) (See Image 4)
7. Remove the hose (C), grease elbow (D), and pin cover (E) (See Image 5)
8. Remove the 124-3240 Pin
9. Remove the 2G-4011 Collar
10. Inspect lip 4K-7463 Seals, 4K-8659 Bushing, and 5K-0984 Bushing. Replace as necessary. (See Image 6 & 7)
11. Assemble collar and pin
12. Install 6G-0417 Pin Cover to pin using 8T-8919 and 8T-4835 Bolts along with 8T-4223 Washers. Be sure to apply proper torque
13. Install grease elbow and hose
14. Install drive shaft and drive shaft cover
15. Once complete return machine to service.
