Water ingression occurring in the potting cup of the heater element causing a short or ground fault in the system.Solution
Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.
Remove any covers necessary to gain access to the heater cups. Remove damage or existing heaters that have a history of ground faults.
Run the screed through a heat cycle to ensure that any water in the heater has been evaporated before wrapping the heaters.
Best to wrap new heaters with the sealing tape prior to install the new heaters to the screed. Also possible to wrap heater cups while the heater cups are being installed.

To extend the heater life, use Use Illustration 1 as reference to install the Loctite Insulating & Sealing.Wrap heat shrink (C) onto electrical cable (D).To eliminate the water entering into putting cup (A). Wrap "Loctite Insulating and Sealing" (B) around the electrical cable (D), heat shrink (C) and putting cup (A).
