HARNESS AS 1481293 - Caterpillar

Position the machine on level ground.
Fully retract the stick cylinder rod. Adjust the position of the bucket so that the bucket is parallel to the ground. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.
Shut off the engine. Shut off the disconnect switch and lock the switch.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to SEBU9004.
Ensure that the machine has a 520-0065 Ball Valve installed. This was effective with serial number S/N:FJX09819 and can be retrofitted on earlier machines. Refer to M0090875 for instructions.

Remove hose (A) and the fittings from the main control valve.

Install elbow (2), O-ring (3), and O-ring (4) into the open port on the control valve. Install hose (1) onto the elbow fitting.

Route the hose to grommet plate (B).

Route the new hose through hole (1).

Locate grommet plate (C) below the foot of the boom.

Cut out the material from area (D) on the grommet plate to make a passage for the new hose. Route the new hose through the grommet plate and connect the hose to the corresponding tube on the boom.

Disconnect auxiliary hoses (E) and remove quick disconnects (F) from the brackets on the stick. Remove the hoses from the machine.

Enlarge hole (G) to 30.6 mm (1.20 inch) to accept larger quick disconnects on each bracket.

Install O-rings (10) and (11) onto connector (9). Assemble connector (9)., coupling (6), and cap assembly (8). Install the assembly onto the bracket and secure using locknut (12). Install hose (13).
Repeat for the other side of the stick using the remaining quick disconnect components.
If the machine is equipped with thumb lines, replace the existing fittings with components (14) through (18) to connect to the larger quick disconnects lines.
