The harness assembly of rear wiring group may fail on the machines listed above. The harness assembly may become damaged due to contact with hydraulic lines on the machines.The 380-3023 Rear Chassis Harness As or 380-3028 Rear Harness As or 472-8347 Rear Harness As contacts hydraulic hoses or tubes near the steering or implement pump resulting in failure of harness assembly.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem and recommends following the interim repair action.In the event of failure, replace 380-3023 Rear Chassis Harness As or 380-3028 Rear Harness As or 472-8347 Rear Harness As with the same part number.Report the failure through the "CPI feedback" tool in Service Information Management System (SIMSi). Reference CPI number 410107 in the request. Attach pictures of the failure and location of the failure in the request.
