Connections of the hystat controllerThis diagnostic code is associated with the Powertrain Speed Range Control Position Sensor. The FMI 03 means that the ECM has determined that the signal voltage of the PWM sensor is above normal.Possible causes of the diagnostic code are listed:
The sensor power supply is open.
Return circuit is open
The signal circuit is open or the sensor is disconnected.
The signal circuit is shorted to a +battery source.
The sensor has failed.
The ECM has failed. This is unlikely. System Response:A level 2 warning will be generated. The functionality is lost. The ECM cannot increase or the ECM cannot decrease the desired speed. Other sensors can aid in reducing machine speed such as the brake pedal.Note: Ensure that CID 2500 FMI 03 is active. This procedure can cause new diagnostic codes to be recorded.
