Specification for 115-1648 Drive Shaft

-     -     -     Lubricate the spline when the machine is fully articulated. Use 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge in order to lubricate the splined slip shaft.    
-     -     -     Before assembly of the bearing, Lubricate all the surfaces of the shaft with 4C-5592 Anti-Seize Compound .    
1     1     197-7996 Setscrew Kit     Use the following procedure in order to install the setscrew:
1. Install the setscrew.
2. Tighten the setscrew until the setscrew bottoms in the keyway.
3. Turn the setscrew outward by one-half turn.
4. Tighten the locknut for the setscrew to 24 4 N m (212 35 lb in).    
2     1     115-1651 Slip Joint     Use 7X-7664 Multipurpose Grease in order to lubricate the slip joint.    
3     1     8T-0372 Bolt     Before assembly, apply red Loctite 271 to the threads.
Torque to
120 20 N m (88 15 lb ft).    
4     -     -     Before assembly, clean the face of the dust cap assembly and the mounting face of the yoke.    
5     20     3E-4315 Locking Bolt     Torque to
28 7 N m (248 62 lb in).    
6     20     4E-5985 Bolt     Tighten in a crisscross pattern to
71 10 N m (52 7 lb ft).
