HARNESS AS 1864594 - Caterpillar

1. Remove grease fitting (1) from the linkage for the speed selector.2. Remove the ring that holds seat (2). Remove seat (2).3. Remove the grease fitting, ring and seat from the linkage for the speed selector at the transmission end. 4. Remove three nuts (4) and the lockwasher that hold bracket (3) to the transmission housing.5. Remove linkage (5) for the speed and direction selector.Install Speed And Directional Selector Linkage
1. Put the speed and direction linkage in place. Put bracket (1) in place. Install the three washers and nuts that hold the bracket. Do not tighten the nuts.2. Connect the linkage to selector lever and to the shifter lever. Tighten the nuts that hold bracket (1) to the transmission housing. 3. Install seat (2), grease fitting (4) and ring (3) in each end of the linkage.Disassemble Speed And Directional Selector Linkage
1. Remove rubber boots (1) and (2) from the rod. Remove the ball seats from each end of the rod. 2. Remove bracket (3) from the yoke assembly. 3. Remove bearing (4) from bracket (3).4. Remove fitting (5) from bracket (3). 5. Remove rubber boots (7) and (9) and yoke assembly (6) from rod (8). 6. Remove grease fitting (17) from the pin.7. Remove bolts (12) and (13) and remove pins (14) and (16).8. Remove guide (15) from yoke (11).9. Remove gasket (10) from yoke (11).Assemble Speed And Directional Selector Linkage
1. Install gasket (1) on yoke (2).2. Put guide (6) in position in yoke (2). Install pins (5) and (7) that hold the guide in the yoke.3. Install bolts (3) and (4) and the nuts that hold the pins in the yoke.4. Install grease fitting (8) in pin (7). 5. Install yoke assembly (10) and boots (9) and (11) on rod (12). 6. Install the bearing in the bracket with tooling (A). 7. Put bracket (13) in position on the yoke assembly. 8. Install rubber boots (14) and (15) on the rod.
