Dimension (X) equals 2 mm (0.080 inch).
Use Tooling (C) in order to install master pin (3). Master pin (3) must be centered on the track link. Install master pin to a depth of approximately 2 mm (0.080 inch).Note: Do not allow any grease to be on the end of the pin. Grease on the end of the pin can cause the tooling to slip during the installation.

Use Tooling (A) in order to position track shoe (2). Install bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to the correct torque. Refer to Table 2. Tighten bolts (1) to an additional 120 degrees.
Table 2
Torque Values for Track Bolts
Machine     Torque
325 to 329
400 70 N m (295 52 lb ft)
330 to 336
500 70 N m (369 52 lb ft) (1)
600 70 N m (443 52 lb ft) (1)
( 1 ) Only apply the higher torque value if you install 143-4891 Track Bolts or 216-4025 Track Bolts .

Personal injury or death can result from grease and oil coming out of the relief valve.Grease and oil are under high pressure coming out of the relief valve and can penetrate the body.Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track.
Remove Tooling (B) from both ends of the track assembly.
Adjust the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust".
