Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3315" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

New components need to be installed to improve the front linkage reliability on certain 992G Wheel Loaders. The 'E' and 'C' joints of the linkage (both ends of the bucket link) have been redesigned to grease pins to improve operation of the linkage. The 'E' and 'F' joints (both ends of the boom links) have improved pin flags to reduce wear.

If the existing bucket link is used (instead of an exchange link) or if the dealer is rebuilding the link internally, a 1683407 Link Assembly is required. Reference REHS0466 special Instructions for the details on rebuilding the bucket link.

Refer to Special Instruction REHS0438-00 and the attached description of changes for instructions on completing this update.
Service Claim Allowances
This is a 40-hour job to install new components on the machine.
If an exchange bucket link was used, claim the outside labor expense. Include the invoice to support cost when submitting the claim.
If the dealer remanufactured teh existing bucket link, 30 hours will be allowed. An additional 20 hours will be allowed for line boring the bucket links, if necessary. If an outside supplier performed this work, include teh invoice to support cost when submitting the claim.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.

Bucket Link:
To reduce user down time, an exchange program is available to obtain a remanufactured bucket link. This link has been redesigned to improve life in certain applications by up to 6 times. There have been ribs, gussets, and cover plates added to the weldment to strengthen the link. The bores have been returned to factory specifications, and new bearings and grease ports have been added for the conversion to grease.
C Joint (Upper Bucket Bore):
The 'C' joint (upper bucket bore) has been converted from an oil joint to a grease joint. With this conversion, the 'C' joint has become an easier joint to assemble and is more reliable.
