HARNESS AS-CONSOLE 1974279 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the cotter pin and the pin for the high-low range selector linkage.2. Remove the two nuts that hold bracket (2) to the floor from under the machine.3. Remove the right floor plate. 4. Remove lever (1) and bracket (2) as a unit.5. Remove the cotter pin and remove bracket (2) from lever (1). 6. Use tooling (A) to remove the bushings from the lever.Install High-Low Range Selector Lever
1. Use tooling (A) to install the bushings in the lever. Be sure the bushings do not cover the hole for the grease fitting. 2. Put the lever on bracket (1) and install the washer and cotter pin.3. Install bracket (1) and the lever as a unit.4. Install the right floor plate.5. Install the two nuts that hold bracket (1) to the floor plate.6. Put the high-low range selector linkage in place and install the pin and cotter pin that connects the linkage to the lever.
