Oil filter for brake actuation
When it is necessary to work under the machine with the body (bed) raised, attach the body (bed) retaining cables to the rear tow points. Install the rear tow point pins through the ends of the retaining cables.Failure to properly secure the body (bed) may result in personal injury or death.

Raise the dump body until the rear tow point pin on the body aligns with the ends of the retaining cables. Install the rear tow point pin.
Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact the skin.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Remove the drain plug from each of the filter housings. Drain the oil into a suitable container. Clean each of the drain plugs and install each of the drain plugs.
Remove each of the filter housings and the filter elements. Discard the used filter elements.
Wash the filter housings in clean, nonflammable solvent.
Inspect the seals in the housing base. If the seals are damaged, replace the seals with new seals.
Install the new elements in the filter housings.
Install the filter housings.
Start the engine and operate the engine at low idle. Check for leaks and make any necessary repairs.
Disconnect the retaining cables and lower the body.
Observe the oil level. The transmission must be in the NEUTRAL position and the parking brake must be engaged.

Maintain the oil level to the FULL mark in the sight gauge.
If necessary, add oil.
