Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install bearings (15) in housing assembly (9) .

Lightly lubricate shaft assembly (14) and the bores of the bearings with clean engine oil. Install shaft assembly (14) in housing assembly (9) .

Install bearings (13) . Ensure proper orientation of the oil holes in the bearings in order to align with the oil holes in the housing assembly. Ensure the bearing splices face same direction.

Press drive gear (11) for the unit injector hydraulic pump onto shaft assembly (12) until the gear comes into contact with the counterbore.
Lightly lubricate shaft assembly (12) and the bearings with clean engine oil. Install drive gear (11) for the unit injector hydraulic pump and shaft assembly (12) into the housing assembly.

Lightly lubricate thrust plate (10) with clean engine oil. Install thrust plate (10) .

Install the gasket on housing assembly (8) . Position housing assembly (8) on housing assembly (9) . Install bolts (5) .
Install atmospheric pressure sensor (6) .
Install fuel temperature sensor (7) .

Install bolts (3) in unit injector hydraulic pump drive (4) .
Position retainer plate (2) on the shaft assembly and install screws (1) .End By: Install unit injector hydraulic pump drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Unit Injector Hydraulic Pump Drive - Install".
