HARNESS AS-PLATFORM 2103301 - Caterpillar

1. Raise the bucket to maximum height and tilt it fully forward. Position the supports (A) on lift arms with the larger radius down and against welds on lift arms. Slowly lower the lift arms until weight is on supports. Stop engine, and place lift control lever in the "float" position. 2. Secure the lower end of lift cylinder to the frame with chain (4). Remove cylinder rod end pin (5)-weight 50 lb. (22 kg). 3. Start the engine, and fully retract rod into lift cylinder. Remove chain from lower end of cylinder, and lower the cylinder to the frame. Turn the diesel engine off.4. Disconnect hydraulic lines and remove the two tube assemblies from lift cylinder. 5. Position the beam (8), from tool setup (B), on lift arms with the closed end of beam toward front of loader. Install the lift cylinder rod end pin to secure beam to lift arms.6. Swing beam forward, and install trolley (9) and sling assembly (10). Be sure the hex drive end of sling assembly is toward front.7. Install strap (6) and bolt (7) from beam group. Center the beam over the lift cylinder. Install a 3/4"-10NC forged eyebolt in the threaded lug in lower end of cylinder.8. Attach the front hook of sling assembly to the rear hole in lifting bracket on top of cylinder. Take up the slack in the chain. 9. Disconnect grease line (3) from inside bearing retainer. Remove the bearing retainer mounting bolts (1) and plates (2). Using tool setup (C), remove the two bearing retainers-weight 75 lb. (34 kg) each.10. Using the sling assembly, raise the lift cylinder as high as possible. It may be necessary to use a pry bar to clear obstructions while raising the cylinder. 11. Remove the front hydraulic tank cover plate mounting bolt (11). 12. Attach an additional short piece of chain to the rear hook of sling and to eyebolt (12). The chain should have a minimum amount of slack.13. Move the trolley forward on beam assembly until the cylinder trunnions are in front of the frame brace. 14. Using sling, raise the rear of cylinder while keeping the trolley as far forward on the beam assembly as possible. Continue rotating the cylinder forward until the trolley can be moved to the end of the beam assembly. 15. Attach a hoist to the other hole in cylinder lifting bracket, detach the sling, and lift the cylinder away-weight 1500 lb. (680 kg).Install Lift Cylinders
Before using the 9S9101 Sling Assembly to lower the lift cylinder into place, it must be modified for use with the FT951 Guide to prevent the chain from climbing out of the sprocket. The guide must be used when lowering a cylinder with one chain, and must be removed for all other uses.
1. Using a hoist, position lift cylinder under the beam assembly. Attach front hook of sling assembly to rear hole in lifting bracket (4), and rear hook and chain to eyebolt (5).2. Using sling assembly
