PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Refer to Image1.1.1 for the shunt tank and installation of sight gauge
and adapters.
1.1 Assemble 9Y-9236 Sight Gauge with 7M-8485 O-ring on 450-2762 Shunt Tank.
1.2 Assemble 268-4045 Adapter with 3J-1907 O-ring on 450-2762 Shunt Tank.
1.3 Assemble 150-3024 Adapter on 450-2762 Shunt Tank.
2. Replace the existing 364-8431 Shunt Tank by the new 450-2762 Shunt Tank (assembled in Step 10). Reuse the Cap. Refer to RENR8863, Disassembly and Assembly.

3. Refer to Image1.2.1 for the vent hoses that connect with adapters on the radiator, engine, and shunt tank.
3.1 Install the 6V-2235/9M-8406 Clamps with 8T-4136 Bolt, 8T-4121 Washer, and 344-5675 Nut on the 243-2374 Tube in order to hold the 423-1982 Radiator Vent Hose.
3.2 Install a 5P-4566 Adapter on the radiator, connect the 423-1982 Hose of length 457.2mm (18 inch) with the 5P-4566 and 5P-4924 Adapters and 3J-1907 O-ring Seal.
3.3 Connect the 5P-6442 Hose (reused) with two 268-4045 Adapters.
4. Fill the cooling system by adding coolant slowly to the shunt tank until the shunt tank is full. Keep the engine running at least 15 minutes in order to remove air. Turn OFF the engine. Add coolant, as needed, in order to maintain the coolant level within sight gauge. Refer to SEBU7889, Operation and Maintenance Manual, to check the coolant level.
