Wiring Diagram for the Automatic Lubrication System on Machines that are Equipped with the Electronic Monitoring System (EMS) (1) Receptacle. (2) Plug. (3) Electronic control (timer). (4) Receptacle. 6V-7070 Digital Multimeter Electric solenoid air valve (6) will be energized by electronic control (3) approximately ten minutes after the engine start switch is turned to the ON position. The electronic control energizes the electric solenoid air valve for approximately 60 seconds. Then, the electronic control de-energizes the electric solenoid air valve. At every 15 minute interval, the electronic control will energize the electric solenoid air valve for approximately 60 seconds. This continues until the machine is turned off.As the electric solenoid air valve is energized, the electric solenoid air valve makes a click. This click can be heard or this click can be felt. If the click occurs at the time intervals that are described above, the electrical system is operating properly.If the electrical system is not operating properly, perform the following checks in the order that is given.Solenoid Test

Electric Solenoid Air Valve (5) Plug. (6) Electric solenoid air valve.
Disconnect plug (5) from receptacle (4). Set the range of the multimeter to 200 ohms.
Measure the resistance between pin 1 and socket 2 of plug (5) .
The measured resistance should be approximately 40 ohms at 25° 5°C (77.0° 9.0°F). If the resistance is not approximately 40 ohms, the electric solenoid air valve is faulty. If the electric solenoid air valve is faulty, replace the valve.
Reconnect the components.Electrical Test
This test is for Wheel Loaders that are equipped with the Electronic Monitoring System (EMS).
Disconnect receptacle (1) from plug (2). Turn the engine start switch to the ON position. Set the range of the multimeter to 200 DCV.
Measure the voltage between socket 1 and pin 2 of receptacle (1) .
The measured voltage should be 24 volts. If the voltage is not 24 volts, check the fuse and the wiring from the fuse to receptacle (1) .
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position and reconnect the components.Test for the Electronic Control (Timer)
Disconnect receptacle (4) from plug (5). Set the range of the multimeter to 200 DCV.
Monitor the voltage between socket 1 and pin 2 of receptacle (4). Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.
Approximately ten minutes after the engine start switch has been turned to the ON position, check the voltage. The measured voltage should be 24 volts. If the voltage is not 24 volts, check the wiring between receptacle (1) and receptacle (4). If there is no defect in the wiring, the electronic control (timer) has failed.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Replace the electronic control (timer). Reconnect the components.Wheel Loaders with Vital Information Management System (VIMS)
