Rework Procedure
Group Number 1
Flash the engine ECM with the software or latest available in SIS Web.
Use Engine Software 521-5587 if the currently installed Engine Software is 473-2322 or earlier.
Use Engine Software 521-5591 if the currently installed Engine Software is 433-3371 or earlier.
For flash programming the engine ECM, refer to Troubleshooting, "Flash programming".
Group Number 2
Update NRS mixer as per rework instructions in KENR8881, "Inlet Air Control ?Remove NRS Inlet Air Mixer" and "Inlet Air Control ? Install NRS Inlet Air Mixer". Note it maybe necessary to remove and install the CAC to Engine Air Inlet tube 341-8454 to improve access to the NRS Inlet Air Mixer.
Modify coolant lines as per the rework instructions in Service Magazine, M0078828.
Flash the engine ECM with the software or latest available in SIS Web.
Use Engine Software 521-5587 if the currently installed Engine Software is 473-2322 or earlier.
Use Engine Software 521-5591 if the currently installed Engine Software is 433-3371 or earlier.
For flash programming the engine ECM, refer to Troubleshooting, "Flash programming".
