Weld a lifting ring to the cover plate. Position cover plate (15) to the edge of dump stop (C). Ensure that the cover plate is flush with bucket shell (B). Center the cover plate between the hinge plates. Tack weld the cover plate.
Ensure that the cover plate is flush with the bucket shell (B) .

Apply the first three passes of a 20 mm (0.79 inch) bevel weld (D) to both sides of cover plate (15) .

Apply a 35 mm (1.38 inch) bevel weld (F) with three passes along the dump stop. Blend the weld with the welds at both ends of the dump stop.

Apply a 20 mm (0.79 inch) bevel weld (H) with the first three passes from the cover plate to the hinge to the paddle plate. Apply a 20 mm (0.79 inch) fillet weld (G) from the cover plate to the bucket shell.

Weld three passes from the cover plate to the hinge plates on both sides. See location (I). Apply a 28 mm (1.10 inch) bevel weld from the dump stop to the paddle plate. Bevel weld the entire length of the dump stop. Tie the ends with five passes. See location (J) .

(K) Length of the dump stop.
Apply a 35 mm (1.38 inch) bevel weld (K) with two passes along the length of the dump stop. Tie this weld into the welds on the end of the dump stop.

Apply a 20 mm (0.79 inch) fillet weld (L) with five passes from the cover plate to the bucket shell.

Apply a 20 mm (0.79 inch) fillet weld from the cover plate to 35 mm (1.39 inch) bevel weld (M). Weld the length of the dump stop. Tie this weld with the welds on the end of the dump stop.

(16) Slot on paddle plate.
Weld paddle plate slots (16) completely. Grind the weld. Ensure the weld does not interfere with the installation of the wear plate.

Weld lifting ring (18) to new wear plate (17). Center wear plate (17) onto the bucket and tack weld.

Apply a 12 mm (.47 inch) fillet weld around the edge of wear plate (17) .
Prime all welded areas and paint all welded areas.Note: A sand blasting of all welded areas should be performed prior to painting.
