Overhead console switches
(1) "Traction Control Test" Switch
(2) "Secondary Steering Test" Switch
(3) "Brake Release" Switch
(4) "Engine Idle Shutdown" Switch (Optional) This functional test is used as an aid in troubleshooting. This test is used in order to verify the operation of the traction control system (TCS). The machine must be stationary with the parking brake in the released position. Service personnel should monitor the hydraulic brake oil pressure for the correct operation.
Chock the tires and release the parking brakes.
Install two pressure gauges on the TCS valve.
Actuate the retarder lever and depress the TCS test switch simultaneously.
Watch for a decrease in left brake pressure and an increase in left brake pressure. After a short pause, watch for a decrease in the right brake pressure and an increase in the right brake pressure. The test will repeat while the TCS test switch and the retarder lever are in the ENGAGED position. Note: The test of the traction control system will terminate if a fault is detected during the test. Follow the instructions that are being displayed on the ET screen in order to complete this procedure.
