Start By:
Remove the boom.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Remove the seals from the bore of the B-pin. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of Tooling (A) is approximately 147 kg (325 lb). Use Tooling (A) to remove bearing (1) from the bore of the B-pin. Repeat for the opposite side.

Remove the seals from bore of the K-pin. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of Tooling (A) is approximately 147 kg (325 lb). Use Tooling (A) to remove bearing (2) from the K-pin bore. Repeat for the opposite side.

Remove the seals from the bore of the A-pin. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B). The weight of Tooling (B) is approximately 65 kg (140 lb). Use Tooling (B) to remove bearing (3) from the bore of the A-pin.Installation Procedure
Install boom bearings (1), (2), (3) and the seals in the reverse order of removal.
Lower the temperature of the bearings before installing.
Install the bearings 10.0 0.5 mm (0.40 0.02 inch) from the face of the boom.
Apply Tooling (C) to the bore prior to installing the boom bearing seals.
