(A) Transmission oil filter bypass indicator. The lube pump (1) provides lube oil for the transmission and oil pressure for the hydrostatic motor clutch (8) in the transmission. Transmission lubrication oil is separate from other machine hydraulic systems. The lube pump provides oil to the transmission oil filter (3). A bypass valve at filter (3) will open if the filter becomes plugged or if the transmission oil is cold. Refer to Systems Operation, "Oil Filter (Hydraulic)" for more information concerning the transmission oil filter. When the transmission oil filter (3) is bypassed, a bypass switch closes. When the bypass switch closes, the ECM sends a signal to the instrument cluster to turn on a notification light. Light (A) shown in Illustration 3 illuminates as the filter approaches a bypass condition.
