Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the transmission hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Relief Valve (Transmission Hydraulic Control) - Remove".

Remove one bolt (1) and the washer. Remove three bolts (3) and the washers.
Remove elbow assembly (2) from the transmission hydraulic control valve (4) .

Remove two plugs (5) from elbow (2) .

If necessary, remove O-ring seal (6) from plug (5) .
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

Use a suitable press to retain the stop (8). Remove dowel (7). Use the press to slowly release the spring force.
Remove stop (8), spring (9), slug (10), and spool (11) from the elbow assembly.

Remove plug (12). Remove O-ring seal (13), slug (14), spool assembly (15), spring (16), and stop (17) .

Remove screw (19), nut (18) and the washer.
