HARNESS AS-FRONT CHASSIS 2501846 - Caterpillar

Do not attempt to remove brake oil pressure sensing line (1) until brake oil pressure has been relieved.
2. Remove the brake oil pressure sensing line (1).3. Disconnect wiring harness (2) from the brake pressure switch (3). Remove switch (3).4. Remove the floor grating from right side of loader (above pump drive group). Attach a hoist and strap to the emergency and parking brake assembly. 5. Remove the brake housing assembly mounting bolts (5).
Do not remove the plate retaining bolts (4) until housing assembly has been separated from the transfer drive housing.
6. Remove the emergency and parking brake assembly out the bottom of loader-weight 115 lb. (52 kg).
Use care when separating emergency and parking brake assembly from transfer drive housing to prevent the brake discs and plates from falling off brake hub.
7. Remove the four brake discs and three plates from the hub.8. Remove the six plate retaining bolts (4). 9. Remove plate (6) from brake housing assembly (7).10. Lift the brake housing assembly (7) off the plate and springs. 11. Using a 3/8"-16NC forged eyebolt, remove the three pistons (8) and springs from the brake housing assembly.12. Remove the three O-ring seals (9) from housing assembly.Install Emergency And Parking Brake Assembly
1. Lubricate the three O-ring seals with a multi-purpose type lubricant. Install the O-ring seals in the brake housing assembly.2. Install the springs and pistons in housing assembly.3. Position the spacers and springs on plate.4. Place the brake housing assembly on the springs and plate. 5. Put plate (1) on housing with holes (2) in the plate between the pistons (3). Install the plate fastening bolts.6. Install the four brake discs and three plates on the hub starting with a disc. Align the notches in plates with brake assembly mounting bolt holes in bearing cage.7. Attach a hoist and strap to the emergency and parking brake housing. Raise the brake housing into position on the transfer drive housing.8. Install the brake housing mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 100 10 lb. ft. (13,8 1,4 mkg).9. Install the brake pressure switch.10. Connect wiring harness to brake pressure switch.11. Install the brake oil pressure sensing line.12. Install floor grating. 13. Start the diesel engine, and bleed the air from emergency and parking brake by loosening the bleeder valve screw (4).
