Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: If the machine is equipped with a three-point hitch, the draft arms should be lowered before you change the hydraulic oil.
Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Stop the engine before you check the hydraulic system oil level. Allow the oil to cool for five minutes before you check the hydraulic system.

Slowly remove the filler cap for the hydraulic oil tank in order to relieve the pressure. The filler cap is located on top of the hydraulic tank. Access the filler cap from the left walkway.
Remove the filler screen. Clean the filler screen. Inspect the screen. If necessary, replace the screen.

Remove the drain plug.Note: In order to drain the hydraulic oil tank, you need a straight pipe nipple. The pipe nipple should be a one inch nipple. Clamp a hose to the nipple.
Install the hose fitting or the nipple in the drain valve. As the nipple is inserted into the fitting, a check valve opens. The check valve allows the oil to drain into a suitable container.
Remove the nipple and the hose assembly.
Install the drain plug.

Remove the plug from the cover for the return screen. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.

Loosen the four bolts on the rear of the housing for the screen. The screen is located on top of the axle. Access the screen from the bottom of the machine. Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.

Remove the screen from the housing. Discard the screen.
Install a new screen into the housing. Make sure that the screen is seated and make sure that the seal is in the groove.
While the hydraulic tank is drained, change the implement return oil filter. See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Implement Return Oil Filter - Replace".
Fill the hydraulic tank. Note: See Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for the correct type of hydraulic oil.
Inspect the gasket on the filler cap. If necessary, replace the gasket.
Make sure that the oil is at the "FULL" mark on the sight glass. Install the filler cap.
Start the engine. Run the engine for a few minutes. Inspect the machine for leaks. If necessary, refill the hydraulic oil tank.

Maintain the oil level between the "ADD" mark and the "FULL" mark on sight glass (1) .
