Description of Change: A new brake actuator is used in order to improve the operation of the parking brake in cold weather conditions.Adaptable To: The new brake actuator has a new design which uses an O-ring seal to replace a lip seal.The new 189-2331 Parking Brake Actuator Gp is a direct replacement for the 145-8825 Parking Brake Actuator Gp .The new 189-2331 Parking Brake Actuator Gp is effective with the following machines: 631E Series II (PIN: 1AB1905), 633E Series II (PIN: 2PS320), 637E Series II (PIN: 1FB831), 651E (PIN: 4YR215) and 657E (PIN: 5YR310; 6TR229). The new 189-2331 Parking Brake Actuator Gp is adaptable to earlier models.The 189-2332 Maintenance Kit for the new 189-2331 Parking Brake Actuator Gp can be used to service the 145-8825 Parking Brake Actuator Gp. In order to use the new 189-2332 Maintenance Kit to service the 145-8825 Parking Brake Actuator Gp, the existing 5T-2973 Secondary Piston must be replaced with a new 193-2445 Piston.
