Refer to Steps 14 through 24 in the topic "Remove And Install Hydraulic Control Linkage (Two Lever)" for the correct procedure to remove, disassemble, assemble and install the portion of the hydraulic control linkage that is below the cab. 1. Remove the four nuts located behind the console that fasten guard assembly (1) to the console, and remove the guard assembly. 2. Remove the cotter pins and pins from rod ends (3).3. Remove six bolts (2), and remove control assembly (4) from the console. 4. Remove nut (6) and bolt (8), and remove link assembly (5).5. Remove bolt (9) and the screw that fastens link assembly (10) to shaft (12).6. Loosen bolt (11), and remove shaft (12) and the key from lever (7) and shaft (16).7. If necessary, use tooling (A) to remove the two bearings from lever (7).8. Remove ring (20), and remove shaft (16) and the two washers from housing (15). If necessary, use tooling (A) to remove the two bearing for the shaft from housing (15).9. Loosen bolt (19), and remove lift lever assembly (21), the bushing, washers (17), lift lever (13) and the key from housing (15).10. Remove the ring, and loosen bolt (18). Remove the two washers, the sleeve, tilt lever (14), the key and tilt lever assembly (22) from housing (15).11. If necessary, use tooling (A) to remove the four bearings for lever assemblies (21) and (22) from housing (15).Install Hydraulic Control Linkage (Single Lever)
Refer to Steps 14 through 24 in the topic "Remove And Install Hydraulic Control Linkage (Two Lever)" for the correct procedure to remove, disassemble, assemble and install the portion of the hydraulic control linkage that is below the cab.
When the bearings are installed in housing (1), push on the end of the bearing that has identification.
1. Use tooling (A) to install bearings (11) and (13) in housing (1). Install the bearings so they are even with the ends of the bearing bore.2. Install tilt lever assembly (10) in housing (1), and install the key for tilt lever (3) in tilt lever assembly (10).3. Install tilt lever (13), sleeve (12) and washer (16) in housing (1) as shown.4. Install washer (15) on the tilt lever assembly, and install ring (14).5. Pull tilt lever assembly (10) to hold washer (15) against the housing. Push tilt lever (3), sleeve (12) and washer (16) against the housing, and tighten bolt (6).
When the bearings are installed in housing (1), push on the end of the bearing that has identification.
6. Use tooling (A) to install bearings (17) and (19) in housing (1). Install the bearings so they are even with the ends of the bearing bore.7. Install bushing (18) on lift lever assembly (9).8. Install lift lever assembly (9), washers (5) and lift lever (2) in housing (1) as shown. Use washers (5) as necessary to maintain dimension (X), the distance from the outside face of the housing to the outside face of washers (5). Dimension (X) must be 26 2
