Personal injury or death can result from sudden suspension cylinder movement. Sudden movement, up or down, can cause the clearance above your head to change rapidly. Read all warning labels on the suspension cylinders before servicing. Do not check the oil in the suspension cylinder until all the nitrogen pressure has been released. Do not, under any condition, remove valves, cover or plugs from the cylinder unless the rod is fully retracted and all the nitrogen pressure is released. Do not stand under the machine when testing or adjusting the suspension cylinders.
(1) Install cap with lock ring down.(2) Torque for 10 nuts ... 1825 175 N m (1350 130 lb.ft.)(3) Torque for nuts (four) ... 2700 275 N m (2000 200 lb.ft.)(4) Full charge (oil and nitrogen) ... 2200 kPa (320 psi)(5) 6G6535 Shims ... 4.47 0.08 mm (176 .003 in.)(6) Final torque for twelve bolts ... 1125 50 N m (830 37 lb.ft.)
When removing bolts (6) loosen all of the bolts one-half turn. Do this again and again until the torque on all of the bolts is released.
If the front cylinder is disassembled, reassemble in the vertical position only.
(7) Bore of new tube ... 333.38 + 0.13 - 0.05 mm (13.125 + .005 - .002 in.)(8) Bore of new gland ... 280.00 0.03 mm (11.02 .001 in.)(9) Diameter of new rod ... 279.350 0.038 mm (10.998 .0015 in.)(10) Fill lower cavity with 2P9066 (MIL-M-7866) Multi-Purpose Grease after assembly.(11) Apply a coating of 2P2506 Anti-Seize Compound before assembly.
