Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect hose (1), hose (2), and harness (3) if equipped.
Disconnect hose (4), hose (6), and harness (5).

Remove bolts (7) and plate (8).

Remove manifold assembly (9) and gasket (10).

Loosen clamp (11) and remove filter sock (12) if equipped.

Pull outward on tabs (14) and remove filter assembly (13) if equipped.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 6 for the remaining manifold assemblies.Installation Procedure
Install manifold assembly (9) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten clamp (11) to a torque of 4.5 1 N m (40 9 lb in).

Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 5 1 N m (44 9 lb in) in the sequence shown.
