Start By:a. remove axlesb. remove drive shaft (direct drive)1. Drain the oil from the transmission and bevel gear housing.2. Remove the seat and the floor plate under the seat. 3. Disconnect the rod end from lever (2). Remove the bolts and housing assembly (1). 4. Remove the cotter pin and pin (6). Disconnect rod end (3) from lever (7).5. Remove nut (4) that holds gear shift lever (5) in position on the lever assembly.
Typical Example6. Remove five screws (8), and remove adapter (9) and gear shift lever (5) as an assembly. 7. Remove bolts (10) and housing assembly (11) from the case assembly. 8. Remove two bolts (12) and cover (13). 9. Disconnect the two wires from switch assembly (15). Remove the bolt that holds the wire harness in place.10. Disconnect two rod ends (14) from the lever. 11. Remove the cover and gasket from the rear of the transmission.12. Install tooling (A) on the rear of the transmission as shown. Fasten a hoist to tooling (A).13. Remove the bolts that hold the transmission in place. Install two 5/8 "-11 NC forcing screws (17). Tighten the forcing screws evenly, and separate transmission and bevel gear (16) from the main frame case. 14. Pull transmission and bevel gear (16) out of the main frame case until the spacers on the plates are at the end of the rail assembly.15. Put a two ton floor jack (18) or wooden blocks under the transmission to support it when the hoist is removed.16. Remove the hoist and tooling (A). 17. Fasten a hoist and two 3/4 "-10 NC forged eyebolts to transmission and bevel gear (16), and remove floor jack (18). Remove the transmission and bevel gear from the machine. The weight of the transmission and bevel gear is 651 Kg (1435 lb).Install Transmission And Bevel Gear (Direct Drive)
1. Fasten a hoist and two 3/4 "-10 NC forged eyebolts to transmission and bevel gear (16).2. Put the transmission and bevel gear in position in the main frame case with the spacers on the plates against the stops on the rail assemblies.3. Install a two ton floor jack (18) or wooden blocks in position under the transmission to support the transmission when the hoist is removed. 4. Fasten a hoist and tooling (A) to transmission and bevel gear (16). Remove floor jack (18). 5. Use the hoist and tooling (A), and install the transmission and bevel gear in the main frame case. Install bolts (19) to hold the transmission in place. Remove tooling (A). Install the gasket and cover on the rear of the transmission. 6. Connect rod ends (14) to the lever.7. Put the wire harness and the clip in position, and install the bolt that holds them in place.8. Connect the two wires to switch assembly (15). 9. Put cover (13) in position and install two bolts (12). 10. Put the gasket in position on housing assembly (11).11. Align the levers in housing assembly (11) with the guides in the transmission.
