this procedure before performing any of the following service procedures:
disconnecting any hydraulic connections for the implement system
removing any sensors or switches from the implement system
working on the bucket or linkage
Move the machine to a smooth level area.
The ride control switch must be in the ON position if the machine is equipped with ride control.
Move the boom until the bottom of the boom is 1.2 m (4 ft) above the ground. Position the bucket so that the cutting edge points down approximately 20 degrees below horizontal.
Lower the boom until the bucket cutting edge is just off the ground.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
When the engine has stopped, turn the key start switch to the ON position.
The control switch for the implement locking device must be in the UNLOCKED position.
Simultaneously move the lift control lever into the FLOAT position and the tilt control lever into the TILT BACK position.
When the bucket has stopped moving, move both the lift control lever and the tilt control lever to the HOLD position.
Move the lift control lever and the tilt control lever through all positions.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Depressurize the hydraulic tank by depressing the breaker relief valve on the tank or by loosening the filler cap. Tighten the filler cap.
Engage the parking brake.
Install the steering frame lock link.
