Function and Navigation Keys
ReferenceThe call outs in this section are related to the EMCP 3 control system panel illustration in the Systems Operation, RENR7902, "Electronic Control Module (Generator Set)" section.The keys that are listed below are used for programming the EMCP 3 and for navigating within the menu structure.ReferenceRefer to Systems Operation, "Electronic Control Module (Generator Set)" section for an explanation of the function keys and the navigation keys. The function keys include the enter and escape keys. The navigation keys include the scroll left, scroll right, scroll up, and scroll down) keys.Escape (9) - Used to navigate up (backward) through the menu structure and to back out of data entry screens during set point programming.Enter key (10) - Select a highlighted menu item or save a programmed value.Scroll Right key (11) - During numeric data entry, choose the digit to edit. During certain set point adjustments, select or deselect a check box.Scroll Down key (12) - Move down through the main menu or navigate within a list in order to highlight one of the items. Also used to decrement digits (0-9).Scroll Up key (13) - Move up through the main menu or navigate within a list in order to highlight one of the items. Also used to increment digits (0-9).Scroll Left key (14) - During numeric data entry, choose the digit to edit. During certain set point adjustments, select or deselect a check box.Drop to Minimum Security Level
The first option on the security screen is "DROP TO MIN LEVEL". This option refers to a process of placing the EMCP 3 into the lowest level of security that is authorized. The lowest level of security would be used after the programming of the control is complete. If "DROP TO MIN LEVEL" is not initiated manually, then the control will automatically revert to the minimum level after 10 minutes of non-activity.
From the "MAIN MENU", press the up key or the down key in order to highlight "CONFIGURE".
Press the enter key in order to select "CONFIGURE". "SECURITY" will be highlighted.
Press the enter key in order to select the "SECURITY". The "DROP TO MIN LEVEL" option will be highlighted.
Press the enter key in order to select the "DROP TO MIN LEVEL" option.
The EMCP 3 will now be at the minimum level of security.Note: When the "SECURITY" screen is displayed, the current level of security for the EMCP 3 is shown at the top of the display screen.Enter Level 1 or 2 Password
From the "MAIN MENU", press the up key or the down key in order to highlight "CONFIGURE".
Press the enter key in order to select "CONFIGURE". "SECURITY" will be highlighted.
Press the enter key in order to select the "SECURITY" menu. "DROP TO MIN LEVEL" will be highlighted.
Press the down key in order to highlight "ENTER LEVEL 1 OR 2".
Press the enter key in order to select the "ENTER LEVEL 1 or 2" menu. "ENTER PASSWORD FOR DESIRED LEVEL" is displayed. There is also a 16-digit entry field with 0 highlighted at
