Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the fan drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Remove".

Remove bolts (1) that hold adapter (2) to fan drive pulley (3). Remove adapter (2) from fan drive pulley (3) .

Remove O-ring seal (4) from adapter (2) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to fan drive pulley (3) .
Remove bolts (6) that hold fan drive pulley (3) to bracket assembly (5). Remove fan drive pulley (3) from bracket assembly (5). The weight of fan drive pulley (3) is approximately 65 kg (144 lb).

Remove bolts (7) that hold retaining washer (8) to the shaft (not shown).

Remove bearing cone (10) from fan pulley hub (9) .

Remove spacer (11) from shaft (12). Remove fan pulley hub (9) from shaft (12) .

Position fan pulley hub (9) in a vise, as shown. Use a brass drift in order to remove the lip seal (not shown) and the bearing cone (not shown).

Use a brass drift in order to remove bearing cup (13) from fan pulley hub (9) .

Reposition fan pulley hub (9) in a vise, as shown. Use a brass drift in order to remove bearing cup (14) .

Remove sleeve (15) from shaft (12) .

Remove bolt (16) and the washers that hold the shaft (not shown) to bracket assembly (5). Remove the shaft (not shown) from bracket assembly (5) .
