Illustration 1 g06266157The parking brake oil pressure sensor is on the main control valve.The pressure sensor is an input of the Machine Electronic Control Module (ECM). The parking brake oil pressure sensor monitors the pressure in parking brake control valve. The Machine ECM receives a signal from the sensor and activates the following:
Parking brake alert indicator on the Monitoring System displayWhen the parking brake is disengaged and the parking brake oil pressure increases, the Machine ECM receives a signal from the pressure sensor. The Machine ECM then sends a signal to the Monitoring System over the CAN Data Link. The Monitoring System will then turn off the parking brake alert indicator on the Monitoring System display.If the parking brake is disengaged and the parking brake oil pressure decreases, the Machine ECM will determine that the parking brake is dragging. The parking brake oil pressure indicator will turn on if this condition exists for 5 seconds or more.When the parking brake is engaged or the parking brake oil pressure decreases, the Machine ECM receives a signal from the pressure sensor. The Machine ECM then sends a signal to the Monitoring System over the CAN Data Link. The Monitoring System will activate the parking brake alert indicator on the Monitoring System display.
