Start by:a. Install steering frame lock link. 1. Put blocks in front of and behind the rear tires. Install tooling (A) under the front main frame of the machine in the positions shown. Use tooling (A) to raise the front of the machine until the front wheels are clear of the ground and tooling (C) will fit under the wheels. 2. Install tooling (B) in the positions shown.
Typical Example3. Attach a suitable hoist to tooling (C) and position it to support the tire and rim.4. Remove thirty-six nuts (1) and washers that hold the tire and rim to the wheel assembly. Remove the tire and rim. The weight of the tire and rim assembly is approximately 1400 kg (3100 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the front tires and rims.5. Attach a suitable hoist to tooling (C) and use it to put the tire and rim in position on the wheel assembly.6. Install thirty-six washers and nuts (1) that fasten the tire and rim to the wheel assembly. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 475 50 N m (350 37 lb ft).7. Lower the machine using tooling (A). Remove tooling (A) from under the machine. Remove the blocks from in front of and behind the rear tires.End by:a. Remove steering frame lock link.
