Manuals screen with a document copied over from an inserted thumb drive
The following procedure is used to download a manual onto the CMD:
Insert a USB thumb drive with a manual into one of the USB ports on the rear of the display. The drive should not have any other files. The document must be in PDF format. The document will appear under "External Source" once the thumb drive is recognized.
Tap the document under "External Source" in order to select the file.
Tap the "< Copy <" soft button to move and download the document onto the CMD.

Manuals direct-access soft button
Remove the USB thumb drive and view the manuals through the "Direct Access" screen by pressing and holding down the "Home" button. Select the "Manuals" direct-access soft button. Refer to Illustration 4.

(24) Source address and CAN connection for engines and transmissionsSelect engine and transmission source addresses and CAN connections (24) to allow the CMD to display correct information on the various screens. Each engine or transmission ECM is denoted by a source address (such as "sa0" or "sa1") and a CAN connection location (such as "cana" and "canb"). Source addresses are specific to the equipment manufacturer. Caterpillar marine engines are "sa0" for Starboard, "sa1" for port and "sa239" for center locations configured in the ECM.

(25) Clear trip informationThe engine totals screen provides information about the total engine operation values and the engine trip operation. Trip information is displayed in the top half of the "Engine Totals" field. Trip information can be reset to zero by tapping the "Clear Trip Averages" soft button (25) located in the upper right corner of the screen.Engine totals since the vessel was commissioned are displayed on the bottom half of the screen in the "Engine Totals" field. The engine totals cannot be changed. The port engine information is in the left column and starboard information is displayed in the right column.Display Shortcuts
