Disassemble the parts shown in Illustration 1 or Illustration 2 from the existing venturi. Inspect those parts for heat distortion. Retain the reusable parts for reassembly and replace any distorted parts.

The hose to the check valve/air cleaner has been removed in the previous step. (F) Tube assembly venturi (G) Clamp (H) Clamp (J) Bolt (K) Washer (L) Clamp consisting of two pieces (M) Diesel particulate filter group
Loosen clamp (G) and remove the exhaust pipe from tube assembly venturi (F) .
Remove two piece clamp (L) by removing one bolt (J) and one washer (K). Retain the two piece clamp (L) and hardware for reassembly.
Loosen clamp (H) and remove tube assembly venturi (F) from diesel particulate filter group (M) .
Reassemble the unit using new tube assembly venturi (1) and the retained hardware.
