7301 PI30149 This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI30149" as the Part number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI30149" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

The 8T6624 Cab Mounting Bolts may loosen on certain 966G and 972G Wheel Loaders. The existing torque values need to be checked and recorded. If required, the bolts should be tightened to the correct torque load.

The 8T6624 Cab Mounting Bolts need to be checked and tightened on certain 966G and 972G Wheel Loaders. The existing torque values need to be checked and recorded. If required, the bolts should be tightened to the correct torque load on the products listed below.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated February 16, 2001 when scheduling this service. You will not be charged for the service performed.

Rework Procedure
Perform steps 1 and 2 individually on all four mounts, going around the tractor counter-clockwise, starting from the left front mount.
Measurement of Torque in the Joint:
a) Use a dial type torque wrench to measure torque.
Put a mark on the socket and a corresponding mark on the cab mount. The mark on the mount should line up with the mark on the socket.
Loosen the bolt about 1/8th of a turn.
Tighten the bolt ensuring that the two marks line up with each
