Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the front bottom guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove crankshaft vibration damper (1) .

Remove damper adapter (3). Loosen bolt (2) until bolt (2) protrudes from Surface (Z) by approximately 3.175 mm (0.125 inch).
Attach Tooling (A) to pulley (4). Use Tooling (A) to separate pulley (4) from the crankshaft.
Remove Tooling (A). Remove bolt (2) and the washer. Remove pulley (4) .Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Position pulley (4). Install bolt (2). Tighten bolt (2) to a torque of 312 27 N m (230 20 lb ft). Position damper adapter (3) onto pulley (4) .
Install crankshaft vibration damper (1) .End By: Install the front bottom guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Install".
