Remove the flywheel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flywheel - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove crankshaft drive gear (22).

Remove six bolts (18) and washers in order to remove hydraulic pump adapter (17). Remove hydraulic pump adapter (17) and O-ring (16).

Inspect the condition of bearings (15). If necessary, use Tool (A) to remove the bearings.

Remove pump drive gear (12) .

Remove two bolts (1) and washers. Remove cover (2). Inspect the condition of bearing (4) inside flywheel housing (5). If necessary, use Tool (A) to remove the bearing.
Remove two bolts (6) and washers. Remove cover (8). Inspect the condition of bearing (4) inside flywheel housing (5). If necessary, use Tool (A) to remove the bearing.

Remove three bolts (21) in order to remove idler gear shaft (20) .
Remove idler gear (13) from the flywheel housing.

(13) Idler gear (19) Bearing (U) Relief groove in gear (V) Relief groove in bearing (Y) Angular misalignment between the bearing and the gear can not exceed two degrees.
Inspect the condition of bearings (19). If necessary, use Tool (A) to remove the bearings.
