Liter Family Of EnginesA standard cylinder head gasket and a 0.25 mm (.010 in) thicker cylinder head gasket are available for 3114 and 3116 Engines. The standard gaskets are the 6I4689 Cylinder Head Gasket for 3114 Engines, and the 4P6930 Cylinder Head Gasket for 3116 Engines. These gaskets are intended for use when the block height (the distance from centerline of the main bearing bore to the top deck of the block) is within new block specifications [322.000 0.017 mm (12.6770 .0007 in)]. The thicker gaskets are the 4P2591 Cylinder Head Gasket for 3114 Engines, and the 4P2590 Cylinder Head Gasket for 3116 Engines. These gaskets are intended for use ONLY when the cylinder block top deck has been resurfaced and the block height is less than 321.75 mm (12.667 in). The absolute minimum block height is 321.50 mm (12.657 in).
